Cleaning Glass Shower Door

SHOWER GLASS CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Shower glass should be cleaned each week using a damp microfibre cloth and a mild detergent (such as washing up liquid to remove any soap scum, dirt or grime from the surface.

For outdoor glass surfaces such as railings, pool fencing and windows, clean as required using water and a mild detergent. Wash the glass with a microfibre cloth, and dry with a good quality squeegee.

For best results clean the glass in the shade to prevent streaking.

Be careful not to use any rough, gritty, abrasive, highly acidic or alkaline cleaners as they may damage the protective coating. This includes products such as Comet (powder), Ajax, or cerium oxide which damage or polish back the actual substrate

ENDUROSHIELD COATING

EnduroShield is a transparent, non-stick protective coating for glass and tile surfaces. By acting like a “non-stick” layer, it repels water, oil, and grime, significantly reducing the frequency and effort needed for cleaning. The coating is applied post-tempering and prior to final packaging and delivery.

It should be noted that with any cleaner used on the EnduroShield surface a thorough rinse with clean water should follow immediately.
Although these cleaners can be used instead of the suggested maintenance, EnduroShield is designed to be an ‘easy clean coating’ which requires less frequent cleaning.

HARDWARE CARE

With proper care, your shower door hardware will remain as beautiful as the day it was installed.

  • The best way to maintain the beautiful finish on the hardware is to wipe it down after every use. After you shower, use a dry towel to thoroughly dry the hardware This will prevent mineral deposits from building up.
  • If you are unable to dry the hardware after every use, a weekly cleaning is suggested. Use a mild soap (such as ivory) and warm water. Clean with a soft, non-abrasive cloth, rinse thoroughly with clean warm water and dry.
  • WARNING: Never use an abrasive cleanser of any kind on the hardware. Many of the components are coated with a clear lacquer that will be irreparably damaged if subjected to harsh abrasive chemicals or scrubbing devices.

MIRROR CARE

Proper care will keep your mirrors clear, bright and looking their best.

  • Clean with a soft cloth and a mild glass cleaner or a solution of water and white vinegar.
  • Avoid ammonia-based cleaners, which can damage the reflective backing over time.
  • Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid paper towels or abrasive cloths.
  • Keep mirrors dry when possible to prevent water spots and buildup.
